The course is divided into two parts, research and the helping relationship.

The research portion is intended to provide the student with the tools to research, read, and interpret scientific research findings in order to make evidence-based care decisions

The student at the end of the lab will be able to:

Formulate a research question
Define the research strategy
Select and locate documents deemed relevant
Critically read the selected papers
Write a literature synthesis report
Write a bibliography
 Objectives Helping Relationship:

To gain knowledge regarding topics that promote communication with the caregiver and are not covered in the lecture. Specifically: forgiveness protocols in nursing, doll therapy, human caring theory, the need for spirituality, medical humanities and therapeutic touch.
Acquire knowledge about nursing protocols in use internationally related to the spirituality needs of the person assisted.
to plan nursing care using complementary therapies documented in the scientific literature
